Jake Knapp withdrew from the Memorial Tournament on Tuesday morning due to his lingering thumb injury.
Sudarshan Yellamaraju was tabbed as the replacement for Knapp for the tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
Knapp, 32, hasn't played on tour since tying for 74th out of 82 players at the RBC Heritage in mid-April.
The injury has halted a promising season for Knapp, who had five top-10 finishes between January and March and placed 11th at the Masters.
Yellamaraju, 24, tied for fifth place at The Players Championship and recorded a T6 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, both in March.
He has missed the cut in his past two tournaments, however.
