Learn more about receiver Ben Skowronek in this edition of Five Fast Facts.
1. Skowronek signed a one-year contract with the Steelers during free agency. He spent the 2024 season with the Steelers as well after being signed to the practice squad to open the year. He appeared in a total of 10 games, starting one, and finished the season with five receptions for 69 yards, a 13.8-yard average.
2. Skowronek was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the 249th overall pick. He appeared in 45 games for the Rams, starting 12, while pulling in 58 receptions for 575 yards. He also spent time with the Houston Texans.
3. Skowronek won a Super Bowl ring with the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. He had two receptions in the game for 12 yards.
4. He played college football at Northwestern, before transferring to Notre Dame for his final college season. While at Notre Dame he played in 11 games, finishing with 29 receptions for 439 yards and five touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns came against the University of Pittsburgh at Acrisure Stadium, when he finished the game with two receptions for 107 yards, both touchdowns, one for 34 yards and a 73-yarder.
5. Skowronek was married this offseason, with him and his wife, Brianna sharing beautiful pictures of their wedding on Instagram.
