July 30, 2021 - Carefree Covered RV Storage, a division of Business Property Trust, proudly announced the acquisition of its first store in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, an 11-acre facility in Wylie, Texas, that will become the first all-covered RV site of its kind in the state.
The property will undergo more than $5 million in improvements, including new asphalt, installation of covered parking stalls, RV wash and dump stations, security upgrades, and a brand-new office/welcome center off of Parker Road. Once redeveloped, the site will offer 515 high quality covered parking spots, ranging from 28 to 51 feet long.
"We couldn't be more excited about our latest Carefree Covered acquisition," said Barry Raber, BPT's president and chief executive officer. "We have been looking to expand to the Dallas market and feel fortunate to have landed in Wylie/Collin County as it is a premier destination and one of the fastest growing communities in the country."
The Wylie site joins its sister properties in Apache Junction and Chandler, in the nearby state of Arizona. Business Property Trust currently owns a storage property approximately a mile away from the newest Carefree location.
Tyler Trahant and Chad Snyder of Dominus Commercial represented Carefree Covered RV Storage in the transaction.
Carefree Covered RV Storage is seeking additional all-RV storage properties to expand its brand in the Phoenix and Dallas, Texas, metropolitan areas. Visit www.carefreecoveredrvstorage.com or contact Raber directly for more information or to suggest business opportunities.
Business Property Trust, LLC, is a niche real estate investment firm located in Portland, Oregon. The company, founded in 1999, purchases and operates self-storage through its Bargain Storage brand and covered recreational vehicle parking through Carefree Covered RV Storage.
